Languages

Learning another language is a brilliant life skill, and will benefit your child for years to come – all of our language courses are designed with your child in mind.

Italian

Our Italian language course is designed for children of bilingual parents. However, children who wish to study Italian but who do not have access to the language at home may join the Beginners group up to the age of 8. If they are older, they may still join a class but this needs to be discussed with the teachers.

  • How the course is taught?

We use an active approach to the teaching of the Italian language and all of our teachers speak Italian as their first language as well as having a university education. We try and avoid as much as possible regional variation of accents and grammar not to confuse the children with ‘dialettismi’, although we are aware that in their home these variations may be the norm.

All the material we use has been either designed by the Senior Teacher, or, if readily available on the market, has been thoroughly checked. We use printed material only if it is written by Italian authors: this it to avoid passing mistakes and inaccuracies often found in course books not written by experts and native speakers on to the children.
